MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of the International University of Grand-Bassam is to provide internationally recognized higher education through technology-enhanced English medium
instruction in fields critical to regional development, international success and life-long learning.
IUGB IS GUIDED BY THE FOLLOWING BASIC PRINCIPLES
- Promoting quality, excellence and equal access without regard to social standing, ethnic or racial identity, national origin, religion or

- Following the American model of higher education in all aspects including the use of information technology.
- Attracting and retaining the best students and providing financial aid to assist needy students.
- Offering academic programs that respond to local and regional economic development and employment needs.
- Moving toward financial self-sufficiency through tuition, fees and aggressive fundraising.
- Internationalizing the institution by incorporating international content and programs in the curriculum and through partnerships with universities and other
institutions around the world.
- Encouraging understanding and tolerance and fostering principles of non-violent conflict resolution.
