PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Welcome to the International University of Grand-Bassam, a unique, regionally-focused institution of higher learning. IUGB is an English-speaking
university located in West Africa, designed to meet the principles and accreditation standards of higher education in the United States and throughout the world.
As a university of the 21st century, IUGB promotes relevance in its programs and offers a case study in transparency and accountability.
Our commitment to gender, ethnic and socio-economic diversity ensures that students of all backgrounds have equal access and opportunity to attend IUGB. Our
talented international faculty demand high standards while encouraging students through supportive one-to-one relationships.
In collaboration with our U.S. partner, Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, IUGB currently offers a two-plus-two program. Many of our students complete
their General Education Program at IUGB, and then transfer to Georgia State to complete their bachelor's degree.
By 2010, IUGB will offer bachelor's degrees through its Schools of Business, International Relations and Economic Policy (BIREP) and Arts, Science and Technology
(ASTECH). Our Pre-Undergraduate Program (PUP) provides an Intensive English and College Preparatory Program for some incoming students.
Located along the ocean in the coastal community of Grand-Bassam, Côte d’Ivoire, IUGB's core objective is to build human capital for regional economic
development. Consequently, we intend to produce qualified and skilled personnel who are trained in problem resolution and intercultural cooperation.
