GOVERNANCE
An autonomous Board of Directors comprised of distinguished persons who serve in their personal capacities from
international and local business, international organizations, NGO's, and the Government of Côte d'Ivoire govern the University.
The Board of Directors establishes University policy, conducts strategic planning, appoints the President and
with him raises funds for facilities construction, scholarships and operation of the University.
The President, as the Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for the operation of the University within the academic and fiscal policies established by the Board.
This role also includes, with Board approval, appointment of Vice Presidents and Deans.

Four members from partner countries or institutions |
Four members from the Private Sector: two from local private businesses and
two from the international business community |
Four distinguished persons of international repute interested in supporting the
University |
Four members from the government of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire drawn from:
the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Higher Education, the
Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy and Finance |
Two members from the University founding institution: The Agency for Education
and Development in Côte d'Ivoire |
One member from Georgia State University, the founding partner of IUGB |
The President of the University who is a non-voting member of the Board |
