STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM

IUGB has worked closely with Georgia State University in establishing its academic programs unsing Georgia State curricula and course syllabi as models. Faculty members from Georgia State have collaborated with IUGB faculty to develop years 3 and 4 of the curriculum and facilitate student exchanges, team teaching, and distance education programs.

Currently, IUGB students undertake their first two years of study at IUGB then transfer to Georgia State to complete their degrees, aided by out-of-state tuition waivers and approved transfer credits for their IUGB coursework. This arrangement will continue until 2010, when IUGB's 4-year curriculum is expected to be in place. Collaboration between IUGB and Georgia State University will continue to expand to include short and long-term faculty exchanges, study abroad programs, collaborative research activities and, eventually, the establishment of joint degree programs.

Georgia State's Office of International Affairs coordinates the university's relationship with IUGB.
