CURRENT STUDENTS

IUGB's current diverse and academically capable student population comes mainly from secondary schools in Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Niger, Senegal, Guinea, Gabon, Togo and Benin. The male/female ratio in nearly 1:1, with female students slightly outnumbering males.

This program enables deserving IUGB students to complete their degree at GSU.

Student Activities & Services

Working with students, staff and faculty, the Student Services personnel attempt to enhance the quality of student life through involving students in activities and challenging students to experience new ventures. If you have a question or concern and are not sure where to go, Student Services is the place to visit.

Learning Environment

IUGB is committed to providing its campus community with facilities, resources and technologies necessary for a world-class, American-style education. Currently, its facilities are situated on a 2.4-acre lot and feature the same amenities and technological advantages available in larger institutions.

Facilities

The University's learning environment is supported by a residence hall with 70 single rooms, administrative offices, a large multipurpose room, a weight room, a health clinic, a faculty lounge, Student Government offices, a student kitchen, a dining facility, an advisement center, a math lab, and the Library and Media Center. The classroom building, with six classrooms and a seating for 150 students, includes a 20-seat computer lab and a language lab. Construction is currently underway for a new residence hall.

Technology

To facilitate teaching and learning, as well as extracurricular activities, IUGB students, faculty and administrators have access to a wide range of audio/visual educational support technology, a full complement of software applications for classroom and office use, still and video cameras, high-speed Internet access, broad networking capabilities and more.

Library & Media

The University Library and Media Center contains a growing collection of approximately 3,000 volumes from all disciplines, with texts added and updated continually. The library is fully computerized, giving students access to electronic books, journals, periodicals and indexes. Acquisition policies and procedures are styled after those of Georgia State University.
