IUGB recruits from among the best and most promising students in West Africa, based on criteria that are rigorous and transparent. Enrollement plans over the next
five years are designed to keep pace with institutional growth.
Admission Criteria
Credit bearing courses are offered to IUGB students. New students must complete the admission process and be accepted into the University to be able to earn
credit. Non-credit-bearing courses are open to the public. All courses are taught in English.
For the Pre-Undergraduate Program
 The completed application file (see the list of items required for Application below)
Placement Tests
Admission may be granted contingent upon eventual success in the BAC or other
secondary school leaving
certification
For ASTECH and BIREP
Direct entrance with the BAC, or transfer from an American curriculum university
Acceptable levels of
TOEFL® (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and
SAT®
(Scholastic Aptitude
Test) before the official declaration of a major

Due one week before classes start
Completed Pre-Registration Form
Certified transcripts showing at least the results of the last year from
the last educational institution
The completed IUGB application form
Scores from TOEFL® or any other
standardized exam (if available, for
University level entrance)
4 color ID photos of passport quality (1.5 x 1.25 in or 38 x 32 mm)
A certified photocopy of the student's ID document, and that of the
father, mother or legal guardian
A certified photocopy of the definitive certificate of authentication
of the BAC issued by the DECO (RCI), or
of other proof of
completion of secondary school (leaving certificate, diploma, or other)
- Send your non-refundable application fee of 50,000 F CFA (payable in cash or certified check only). Contact IUGB Finance department if you are outside of
Côte d'Ivoire
- Print out an application form, and a
health form, fill out and send in.
Application Deadlines
: Pre-registration for courses on a space available basis until the beginning of courses.
While space remains
Applications are accepted at any time in the IUGB Admissions office in Deux Plateaux.
The date of entrance depends on the date of completion of the application file.
Applications for the current semester will not be accepted after the beginning of
courses for that semester.
